BenefitAgent seeks to provide a full case-build experience. However, we recognize that some of the questions asked as part of our interview process apply to only a minority of groups. BenefitAgent 7.0 introduces the “Special Situations” page at the beginning of the interview. Answering a few questions here creates a customized interview process, one that can either be shortened if the situations do not apply to your case, or allow for as complex of a case build as you need. BenefitAgent 7.0 is customized to fit your needs on a case by case basis.
Most case builds begin with the idea of “General Rules” for the group. For example, an HR Manager might describe the rules as: “Full Time employees at all locations are eligible on the first of the month after 60 days of service. Executives at all locations are eligible immediately upon hire.” BenefitAgent 7.0 can create two sets of rules that can then be applied to all benefit products offered. Every new product will, by default, be given these General Rules, but any rule for any product can be easily overwritten.
BenefitAgent 7.0 introduces a new feature called “GPS Navigation” for Plans and Products. These tracking pages give you an “at-a-glance” view of your progress in building each new offering. If you use General Rules, you may be surprised how much is completed for you prior to answering any questions.
“Are these answers the same?”
In previous versions of BenefitAgent, if a group had more than one set of rules for a product, each screen of BenefitAgent would require the same questions to be answered multiple times–once for each set of rules. BenefitAgent 7.0 recognizes that most of the time, there are only a few changes between sets of rules, and many times those answers are the same. BenefitAgent 7.0 allows a case builder to answer “These answers should be used for all sets of rules,” saving many steps of data entry.
